01 The Trip

About this excursion.

Important Marine Park Logistics

Upon entering the Cayos Cochinos Archipelago, our first official stop is the Cayo Culebra Ranger Station. Per marine park rules, all passengers exit the vessel briefly to register with local authorities and pay the required $20 USD per person national park entry fee directly to the rangers. Cash is strongly recommended — WiFi and electrical power at the ranger station are often unavailable. This fee is not included in the charter price. Once checked in, we set off to explore the private reef spots, pristine snorkeling channels, and local Garifuna community lunch on Chachahuate.

Cruise Ship Notice This excursion is reserved for island guests staying at partners like Tree Top Suites & Resort due to the duration. Cruise guests please see West End, Mangrove, or Shipwreck tours for 5-6 hour window.

Available to all island visitors, our private Cayos Cochinos Roatan Private Tour is a full-day journey into paradise. As the official partner of Tree Top Suites & Resort, we provide elite service for resort guests and island travelers alike. Unlike the high-volume tours that cater to cruise schedules, Dos Reyes Roatan offers this expedition exclusively as a private, full-day retreat for stay-over guests. Aboard our elite 2024 34' center console, you will cross the Caribbean waters 4x faster than standard boats, no diesel fumes, ensuring you arrive at these pristine cays well ahead of any crowds.

This is more than a tour; it is a deep dive into Honduras' national treasure. Spend your day snorkeling vibrant, protected reefs, relaxing in turquoise lagoons, and sharing an authentic local lunch with the Garifuna community on Chachahuate. Because we operate outside the constraints of the cruise piers, your itinerary is 100% customizable and unhurried.

Pro-Tip for your Trip

"Experience Roatan Without the Crowds" While the cruise ships are docked at the port, escape to the untouched sands of Jade Beach or Pigeon Cay. Because our boats are 4x faster than the average charter, you'll spend less time traveling and more time in the turquoise water.

Exclusive for Stay-Over Guests: We are the proud partner of Tree Top Suites & Resort. If you are staying on the island, this is your VIP ticket to a private paradise.

03 Common Questions

Answers to quick questions.

Are national park fees included in the Cayos Cochinos charter price?

No. While Dos Reyes handles all vessel permits, fuel, captain, crew, and top-quality snorkeling gear, local regulations require each passenger to exit the boat at the Cayo Culebra Ranger Station and pay a $20 per person national park entry fee directly to the station rangers. Cash is strongly recommended because WiFi and electrical power at the ranger station are frequently unavailable.

Do we have to stop at the ranger station?

Yes, this is a marine park regulation, not optional. All vessels entering the Cayos Cochinos Archipelago must register at the Cayo Culebra Ranger Station on arrival. The stop is brief (10 to 15 minutes) and part of the standard itinerary.

What if I don't have cash for the park fee?

We recommend bringing $20 USD cash per guest in advance. The ranger station does not reliably accept cards due to intermittent WiFi and power. If you need to withdraw cash, do so before boarding — there are no ATMs on Cayos Cochinos.
